The next stop for us is Florence, Italy for only one night, which I now regret because Florence is home to some of the most amazing art ever created. We stayed at a great Hostel where there were many people from all over that we got to meet. We spent our first day just walking around and getting to know the area, and our second day was mainly spent in the Uffizi Gallery which is the biggest art museum in the world after the Vatican. We got to see some amazing works of art such as the Birth of Venus which is a famous painting by Botticelli (show them a picture Mrs. Grace). We saw a famous bridge called the San Marco bridge that has a secret passage way for the famous Medici family to use to avoid the crowds. It is an amazing bridge because it survived a very damaging flood as well as WWII.
There is much more that I would have enjoyed to see, but another time! Off to Rome, or as the Italians say Roma.

Love and miss you!
