Bonjourno! We had lots to write about but then realized that the pictures say it all. We had a fabulous weekend in Florence and enjoyed greats sights, views, food and great wine! We were fortunate to have sunny weather for most of the weekend and more fortunate to have attended three free concerts on Sunday. We heard Bach works performed on the organ, opera in the park and the Chapman University choir from California perform works by Rachmaninoff in a large cathedral just outside our hotel. We found Florence to be a very exciting town with lots to see and lots to do. Almost everyone we encountered spoke English and was very friendly. As you will see by the pictures, there were lots of dogs and cats in Florence and we couldn't help taking a few pictures for you. The night train to and from Florence was also a great experience as we had Canadians in our room both ways. We hope you enjoy the pictures and we'd love to read your comments!
