This is the first sight right as we came up the stairs
After a long week of classes and running around town my roommates (Alex, Sam, and Meredith) and I decided to head up to the Duomo to look out over Florence. We have been so lucky with the weather so far, today up on the top of the Duomo, it was absolutely gorgeous. We walked around the inside of the church and then made our way to the Cupola where we climbed 463 steps practically straight up to the top. At one point we were literally scaling the side of the Dome, climbing straight up. Once we hit fresh air, the view was spectacular. We could see forever, across the entire city out to the mountains. We could make out the rooftop of our house and the Piazza Santa Croce. What a view!
