Milan

I came to Milan by train yesterday, and have been resting, reading, eating, drinking and just catching up on things. For the most part, everything shuts down on Sunday and Monday, so there were very little opportunities for sightseeing. It was nice to take a breath and regroup. I even had some laundry done at the hotel, and washed some in the sink myself. Let's just hope they dry before the housekeeping staff comes in tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have a walking tour of the Duomo, La Scala, and Last Supper. Then, in the evening I have tickets to MacBeth, an opera at La Scalla. Should have some more pictures and fun things to report then.

Train to Milan
Thought I would take a picture of the train, since I will be on so many of them.

One of many salads
I have been eating salad with almost every meal. They are always served in a bowl, have a side of extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Here is one that I really thought looked and tasted great.

Dinner in Milan
This was a light dinner in the restaurant at the hotel in Milan. This salad had a good mix of mache, lettuce, arugula, and radicchio, and of course, a bowl of penne al pomodoro to go with it. And I do apologize for typos.

What a shopping center. With stores like Prada and such, I just window shopped. I did pick up a great tie at Hugo Boss. Found a great suit, but it wasn't designed for a tall lanky guy. sigh.
