Market Day in our local village
We have been joined by our friends Sandy and John from Darwin.

Spent one week in St Remy in Provence, a very central and charming village. Provence is foodie heaven and we took great advantage of the excellent restaurants and wine. Of the many sights, my highlights were Gordes, Van Gogh trail in St Remy and The Pont Du Gard. I am sure each of us would have a different list!

From Provence we were really lucky to spend a night with friends, Hilary (yes fancy that!) and Bob in Carces in their newly built and fabulous house. More great food and fun and we were all sad to not be staying longer but the Cinque Terre could not wait.

The Cinque Terre

I f you haven’t been, you must go. Make sure you go while your knees can still cope with it. Whilst Roger and I had been before, for a short visit from nearby Santa Margherita, this time we stayed in Manarola which is one of the 5 villages. It was great. Fabulous views, energetic walks rewarded by great food and of course wine! Heaven.
