Geoffrey Burgess We took our first tour of Dublin checking out the historical sites of the 20th century. We already had a glimpse of them through the film Michael Collins (which tells the story of the Irish War of Independence and following Civil War). Prominent and important sites include the GPO (General Post Office), Four Courts, Dublin Castle, and the Courthouse. All of these sites have been restored and are open to the public.
Our accomodations in Dublin are much nicer: new, clean and roomy. However, the students now have double rooms so everyone gets a roommate. Another difference is that we get a cooked (and hearty) breakfast with our housing. The school day is shorter here because our trips don't take us out into the countryside, but students have a bunch of work coming due since this is our last week. Everyone is busy.

looks like you only made it 1/2 way up the spire. Looks like a beautiful, vibrant place. Dave
