Happy Canada Day!

Too bad Dublin isn't a very exciting city. I'm glad that we came here because if we hadn't I would have regretted it, but having been here I wouldn't come back. Everyone we talked to was rude and unhelpful, save for our eastern european hostel staff, and the sketchy, dirty, loud hostel really didn't make for a fun place. We went on a small bus tour and saw the Guinness brewery which was pretty cool but by the evening we were both so frustrated with Dublin, and I felt sick, so we didn't go out for Canada Day, oh well. Next year.

On the 2nd we wandered around a bit, saw some more of Dublin and then caught a bus to the airport which arrived at 3:30, for our 7:15 flight. A little early but hey, the airport was about as exciting as the rest of Dublin. When our plane finally left, late as Ryanair seems to always be, we climbed to only about 5000 feet before leveling off which is really creepy in a really obviously old plane, over water. After 5 minutes or so the captain came on over the intercom to tell us that we were going back to Dublin because of a minor problem. Turns out the minor problem was that another plane reported that ours was leaking something out the back. After an inspection, and some liberal duct tape application no doubt, we departed again for London, this time successfully. We were on the ground around 11:30, 3 hours later than scheduled. We didn't get to sleep until 2am this night, which left only 3 hours for sleep.
