Realised yet again we have too much "stuff" and then found out the shipping costs FROM Denmark are demented (like 300eur for 20kg case but its only 120eur if moving From Ireland so must be some tax thing) and then realised its cheaper for both of us to fly home with SAS and the 20kg baggage allce and 5eur excess charge (as opposed to cheaper Ryanair but they only have 15kg luggage allce and 8eur excess). So thats what we did - an over night luggage run. C. did get not charged his excess and I got done for 12kg and at Christmas he paid for 16kg and I got 18kg free, so that's ok swings and round-abouts.

So while at home we got our big trip vaccinations sorted and all the travel books (as there's 25% vat on them in Cph and 0% in Irl ). But that evening we called a few people to go for a few local drinks if they were available, you know: low key, no big deal, not making a fuss of ourselves kinda thing, and we went to our old man local pub and colonised the snug and then around 20 of our friends turned up and we had a mad night and an impromtu party in our house til 6am. Great night but now I really miss home 😞
