[youtube=pvSlUNK2YJU]I visited Reykholt last year,and it was a great place to stay at.
I stayed at a guesthouse at Reykholt ( http://www.simnet.is/dramasmidjan ) and it was great staying there.
Nearby there is a hot water spring, boiling water coming out of the ground.
Took lots of photos and videos there
