Kim's great spot at night in the lagoon was this love African chameleon.

Kim rocks – big time. Off and on while here we have been in search of the elusive African Chameleon – found in an area of Gialova – the only chameleon in the wild in all of Europe. After dinner last night we waited until after dark and then drove to the nearby lagoon w2hich plays host to the lizard. But for eight hundred billion mosquitoes we were alone. Kim tho9ught she saw something and sure enough – we were right near this bizarre radiant green creature. After a few photos and many high fives for Kim – we crowned her Queen of Gialova for the spot – we headed back and oohed and aahed over the photos.

This morning Marika Kim and I headed to the dreamlike Voidolakia BBeach. But work before pleasure. We spent a good amount of time scaling the hillside to Nestor’s Cave. The path up was at first soft sand which we sank into up to our ankles, then once above the dunes a lovely path – the last section was through tall brambles like Newfoundland tuckamoor which played host to LOTS of in my estimation big scary spiders – I felt a bit

We climbed a big hike to this huge cave above Voidokilia Bay.
like Ron Weasly…

Upon reaching the cave we were loud and proud and explored both the cave and felt giddy about the view back down to the pristine bay and beach.

Climbing down Kim and Marika decided to cross the bay via the water and at its deepest barely reached Marika’s tummy. I kept the pack dry and met them across the bay whe3re we cooled off in the Mediterranean and napped on the beach.

On the way bacvk we spotted an apricot tree shedding ripe fruit so stoppped and picked one off the branch - Marika says it was the best fruit she has ever had.

Will chose discretion over valour and asked if he could hang out by himself at the resort – said he didn’t feel up to baking in the sun climbing to the cave. Wise young man – and he felt cool about being able to have the apartment and resort to himself for a few hours – precursor to when he is able to come home from school on his lonesome.

Hand it over Bruce!
Hi there -- Bruce...handover the keyboard to Will...I am keen to see the pictures that HE took while lolly gagging about the resort all by himself! Way to go Godson....solitude -- it is a splendiferous thing -- and an occasional requirement in our lives! Proud of you. David
