An amazing Greek resturant fully equipped with exotic belly dancing ladies and plate smashing, not to mention the big harry greek men!
Well about 70 days in and still no beach, so we decided now is the time. We boarded a plane to Athens on our way to the Ionian island of Corfu to relax and hopefully not sunburn. Athens has lots to see but is overpriced and not the cleanest city so we only stayed the night. We were off to the island which supposedly was created by posiedon coming out of the water and cutting it away from the mainland with his trident. We arrive early at The Pink Palace, a resort for backpackers, offering cheap accomodation with free meals.(and as the name suggests everything is pink) We notice that the people who are checking out all look like they have not slept in a week and are all hungover. Maybe not exactly a place for peace and relaxation. With its own 24 hour bar and sea side night club, in short a gong show full of Canadian and English travallers looking for a good time. Not exactly our style but there were many other beaches we visited. Corfu is a beautiful island, unfortunately made up entirely of hills, so getting around is tiring. We would rent a 300 cc atv or

This was the view from our balcony! We decided to swim (like we were in a race...competitive tyler) to the smaller rock thinking it wouldnt be that far, one sunburn and a couple cuts and bruses later we had made it. We found a coral with the most amazing fish there..somewhat slimey.
a small and i mean small car. It could barely make it up the hills, when we rented it the lady told us that if it was having trouble just turn off the ac and it will have more power. It did not work and we had a few shaky experiences as we both have little experience driving standards. We travelled around the island to the various beautiful beaches and to the main city Corfu town, where the prices are cheaper and the gyros tastier. The food in greece is exceptional no matter what your preferences are. All produce is grown fresh in their backyards, wine is produced on the island, and all cheese is made fresh. To say the least , we ate a lot. Aside from an excruciating sunburn all was excellent and it was a great week of swimming and relaxation, and of course eating. MMMM I LOVE GREECE! Now on to Vietnam or maybe not...

We rented this beauty to go to the city to do some shopping. Not thinking about the rush hour traffic or the fact that tyler drives like a lunatic...
