Today was my last day of my first Goethe course! it was really great, it started off well because i did reaaally well on the test we took which i was not expecting at all, it was so hard. there were 4 parts: one was listening, the next was multiple choice, the next was free writing and the last was speaking. i only missed one question! so i got 73 out of 75 points. of course there were mistakes on the writen and speaking parts, but they were expected mistakes she said for the A2 level so i got full credit.

After a break, we went to the Altstadt to have a private tour of one of the nicest churches here in dresden (the Hofkirche). It's really famous because all of the most famous people like August II and all of his family lived in the castle attatched to it and was burried there (i think... dont quote me on that! the tour was in german so i probably didnt understand everything correctly haha). Since we were on a private tour we got to go down and see the tomb which was really amazing, but it got even better. The last of the most famous organs is in the church. I think Silberman, the maker, is the most famous in germany but the other organs he made were blown up in the war so this one is really special. We got to go up to the top of the church where the organ was while the musician was playing! it was amazing, we were so close that i could hear the keys clicking on the organ. He played for half an hour, the music reminded me of the style in the movie Fantasia. Haha i didn't even know that he would be playing when we were there, but that made it surprising and even better it felt like a private concert just for us.

Afterwards, we decided to have a coffee together since it'll be our last time seeing eachother for the most part. Only one other person in my class will be here next month, but we might be in the same class since we'll both be in B1 and in a 2 week course. Even though i couldnt ever say much to the other people since our common language for the most part is german, i was really glad to meet all of them and it's kind of sad that today we talked and got to know eachother the most. But we have eachother's emails so hopefully we'll stay in touch

I wasnt able to take any pictures of the Hofkirche, but you should look pictures up online of the church and the organ itself because it's beautiful. Ive been inside before but it was even better this time since we were allowed to go upstairs and even go down in the tombs. I feel like im forgetting something else but im in a rush, so if i did i'll post another entry later 😊
