Leaving Valkenswaard in Holland behind, I slowly made my way to the German border in the vicinity of Roermund. Over 5 years have passed since I cycled around the UK and Ireland and the time has come to get back in the ol' saddle. This time I will attempt to initially make the shores of New Zealand, initially cycling through Europe to Istanbul, the gateway to Asia, before following the silk routes through Central Asia and China to the Far East. Following a flight or preferably a boat journey to Australia, I will attempt to cycle across the Nullabor from Perth to Sydney, before heading onwards to New Zealand. Soaring in your own sky/saddle!
Hi Clive, Following with interest from the start. Good to see how you are tapping into your historic family roots - will give your energy and assurance in who you are for the adventure ahead. Also good to see you released from the demands and responsibilities of the last couple of years. Free finally to soar in your own sky/saddle! Look after yourself and keep the reports coming. Lunch time session....
and a pair of false teeth sounds right up my alley. Good to hear you are making good progress although hope the weather starts warming up for you soon. Currently in NZ and liking it....very passive travel compared to India but still a nice change of pace. Be well !
