I landed in Frankfurt at 11:00 am. The plane was absolutely astonishing in size! It was the biggest thing I've ever seen, and was also super nice! The bottom deck had 2 aisles with 10 rows of seats. Each seat had a TV and reclined. The seats were comfy and there was a good amount of leg room and seat space. I ended up watching 2 movies: Interstellar and the Hobbit part 3. I've never had airplane food before, but other people were saying that it is really good, and I thought the same. For dinner I had a pasta with marinara sauce and mushroom. It was good. There was also bread, salad, cheese and crackers, and a small chocolate desert cake.
After this I got some sleep and after waking up, breakfast was ready.
It was eggs, hash browns, some fruit, and bread with butter and jelly. I only had apple juice to drink. I saw a lot of other people get it so I figured it must be good. It was good and hopefully I can find a bottle of it here. I think one of the coolest part of the plane is that it had 3
cameras that you could use to see outside!! There was a front camera, a bottom view camera, and a tail camera. It was really great! I wish I would've taken more pictures while in the plane, but I was nervous and just focused on getting to Berlin. After landing, most people had a two hour layover and was set to at 2:15 from one gate. One of the fellow students had the idea of checking with the gate teller to make sure that we were waiting for the correct flight. It turns out that our gate number on the ticket was wrong, and that we had to go to a different gate. I did think it was possible for them to have the wrong gate number, but I guess anything can happen. After getting our layover and touching down at Berlin, Dylan and I split the cost of a taxi to our hostel. I was going to take another taxi to get an adaptor to charge my phone, and it ended up being a 25€ taxi ride! The guy was really cool and told me things to visit and where to go and also how to make a call for a taxi. Then he dropped me back off at the hostel and gave me the address for an Italian restaurant. The hostel is really nice and clean and I am sharing a room with 6 Scottish kids who are also traveling and a girl from Hong Kong. The Scottish people are leaving tonight or tomorrow, and the Hong Kong girl is leaving in 2-3 nights, so I'll be getting new roommates soon. They recommended me a place to eat: a 60s American diner, go figure haha. I went there and the food was fairly good and relatively inexpensive compared to other things. I think, generally everything went ok for the first day. I wasted 4€ getting on a taxi for nothing because I got a late voicemail. My poor taxi driver couldn't speak English very well and asked for me to speak slowly so I made my first broken German sentence: Kein fährt meiner Freunden am Hostel. Luckily with his understanding of English and my embarrassing sentence, he understood what I said and I wasted 4 €. It was a fun day.

Hi, Junior!
Thanks for the food pictures! The pizza and "apple juice" looked amazing! What are some of the landmarks that you've seen so far? I would love to see pictures of those when you get a chance.
