The shopping street in Stockholm.
This morning we got up and tidied our room before checkout. We got our bus tickets from the hostel and went down the street to wait for our bus. We each had two bus tickets though and we were wondering if the lady at the hostel had missunderstood us when we asked for 2 tickets, one for each of us not 2 each. It turns out that she did not make a mistake and you actually needed two for the bus ride. We took the but to the main train station. We went to go find a place to lock up our bags so that we could go exploring for a while. We went down to the baggage lockers but the ones that would have been big enough for our suitcases were full and all of the free ones were too small. We were debating what to do when a man and his wife overheard us and told us that there were some large lockers upstairs as well and we could try there. We went back upstairs and sure enough there were some more lockers. Luckily for us there were a few free ones, at the very top. Sydony got her

bag in and then she had to help me with mine because I was not quite tall enough to hoist it all the way up and slide it into the locker. Sydony closes her locker first and gets her recipt. I try to close mine but there is something wrong with it and the machine just keeps saying that the locker is now unlocked for you. By some miracle there is one last locker that is free, also at the top. Sydony and I manage to move my bag over to that one and I too pay my money and our bags are secure!

We went for a walk down a large shopping street. We ran into some really cute lion benches (see pictures below) and a very green park. On the map it shows that there is a green area near our island, Skeppsholmen, but it is really a grey concrete area with two rows of trees. After our walk we made our way back to the train station and had a late lunch before retrieving our luggage. Our luggage in tow we made our way across the street to the City terminal where the buses to the

airport depart. We made it there just before our bus left and managed to get our things on board.

At the airport we checked in, dropped our bags off and went through security. We were a bit (a lot actually) early for our flight so we read and played games on our ipads. The flight was scheduled to leave at 10 to 7 and arrive in Berlin around 8:45pm. We figured that a flight that short and being (somewhat) domestic it probably wouldn't serve food. And since when we arrived late in Stockholm everything was closed or closing we figured that it would be a good idea to get dinner before we left the airport. We got some really good noodles, beef and vegetable stir fry to take on the plane with us.

As we are eating our dinner on the plane, the stewardesses come around with drinks, and food. So we each got a bag which contained a sandwich, apple, chocolate and a halls bon bon. Now our lunch is ready for tommorrow.

This was our smoothest transision from airport to hostel yet! Once we got off the plane we weren't really sure where to get

the bus and we couldn't find the sign for the bus or information so we picked a direction and started walking. It was the right direction and we finally came to the information and she pointed at the door right behind her and said that is where to get the bus from. We got our tickets just as the bus was pulling up and got on without a problem. We took it to the last stop where we got off and had to look around for a moment to get our bearings but we had a good detailed map and headed off in the right direction. After a 10 minute walk we were at our hotel.

We go inside the building and there is a sign which says that reception is on the third floor. Sydony gives me this look, 'we have to drag our bags up THREE flights of stairs'! Luckily there was a small elevator near the staircase; compared to the one we had in Paris it was quite roomy. We got checked in and it is nice because we have our own private bathroom!

We have a full day in Berlin tomorrow and then we
