Hi all,

I have to say Christmas in Berlin was amazing. Both my mother and my brother were here in the city and we managed to go from Christmas market to sight-seeing and then have evenings out or curl up in our rented apartment in the middle of the city to have some quality family time.

Of course, all the regular Christmas preparations also turned into quite the adventure. From riding the s-bahn and u-bahn with our Christmas tree after a glass of gluhwein (hot spiced red wine), to finding lights for the tree and authentic, German, glass-blown tree ornaments from the local Christmas markets.

We ventured out to the tourist points in the city, and also managed to hit up some of my local favourites and some new recommended hang-outs.

All in all, it was splendid to have two keen sight-seeing oriented travelers, and family to spend the nights in, or adventure out with. Such a Christmas blessing.
