Sensory Park (Park der Sinne), nearly done. These kids did *so* much work, and it was something you really had to walk through to see - very, very cool. Here you see construction of the cocktail bar (the red in the background)

It's finally all making sense... projects start to take on their final form, like this one in front of Hofbrauhaus, planned in cooperation with a company that lent their product to the students at Designtage.

Inside Hofbrauhaus, the lecture room is still getting put together. See that gyp-board wall on the right side of the picture? hasn't even been sanded yet... and tomorrow's the first lecture in here!!

I also helped out quite a bit with the 'soundscape' installation, an exhibit to demonstrate acoustic building materials in conjunction with OWA, an acoustic building material manufacturer (makes things like those tereribly ugly but effective cork-looking ceiling tiles).

Vanessa

I met Vanessa, a friend of Guido's who has come to Germany for an extended vacation, a couple of days before Designtage started. Here we are having a cuppa before going to Designtage's opening night.

Opening night I went with Vanessa, Guido, Julia (Guido's roommate) and Esther to Designtage. P.s, there's the Villa on the right!

I ran into Tine the first evening, and snapped a good picture with the giraffes and the (finished!) biergarten.

One of the exhibits in the Gewölbekeller, made in cooperation with idl, a lighting company. Julia powers the lights overhead with the nifty bike-thigs they set up, backdropped by a student-designed sculpture.

The biergarten turned out to be really nice. They set up 'fireplaces' all around the perimeter for the sake of warming the attendees.

Starting to get dark out, but I tried to take some pictures of Sensory Park (Park der Sinne) anyway... I hadn't figured out the night-mode settings yet!!! (now I have...)

Getting dark, but the weather is suddenly totally cooperative, and remained that way the entire week. (I actually had a sunburn by the end).
