RED EARTH OF ROUSSILLON

Apparently, the earth in and around the village of Roussillon has an extraordinary percentage of red ochre in it, hence the signature reddish color of everything in the town. Ochre is a natural pigment that has been used since prehistoric times. That's the lesson for today. (: Anyhow, what we're really trying to say is that this village is ridiculous. Our pictures really do not do it justice.
