Back in the "saddle" and off for a bike ride. Today we started out along the canal to Nieuweg, this took us out the northwest side of Brugge. We went as far west as Plassendalebrug and came south to the town of Oudenburg. Had lunch at a picnic table outside the cathedral and then meandered through the countryside (Ettelgem, Zerkegem, Katteveld, Kroonhoek and Hermitage) before arriving back in Brugge. We stopped short of going to Oostende (the sea) as hope to make the seaside trip another day. It was a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze. We biked about 50k. Great fun!
