Avignon
Boat across to the city. If I was in love, this is the city i would visit!!!
Avignon, just here four nights. It's amazing, so much to see. We are on an island in the middle of the Rhone. This is the second largest region for wine in the whole of France.
The city is amazing, we walk out of the campsite towards the Rhone and jump on to the shuttle boat across the river into the city.
Just about coping with the heat. The pool is a welcome relief. Read the campsite rules, silence from 10pm-oh yes!! First night is a bank holiday weekend and next door is the local community centre. At about 8.30pm a brassband starts up which is very exciting, lots of people gather around the fence to have a look. We cycle over to check it out.
They are still going at 12pm, 1pm. 2pm.3pm, 4pm. 5pm they sure know how to party here! BUT if i have to listen to the final countdown one more time! It's not the same if your not part of the party.
Next night some drunks are shouting along the river( no it's not me). So sleep is not
part of the package.
Visited Chauteauneuf-de-Pape today.

Je suis jalouse!! Le vin, la fête, le soleil... Pourquoi suis-je dans le Devon?!! You are all looking good and relaxed, enjoy Chateau neuf du Pape (wine and village!) until the next stop
