A quaint shop
Back to the Normandy coast and the quaint old fishing port of Honfleur. It is situated at the mouth of the Seine River, opposite it's larger and more well known neighbour, Le Havre.

It's Vieux Bassin is where most visitors are attracted to, with its multitude of restaurants around the harbour. There was a cruise ship in while we were there, so full of English tourists. A pleasant change from the day before at Vesailles, full of Japanese tourist groups.

Lunch in the park, overlooking the English Channel, Seine river and the impressive Pont du Normandie.

Back in town a visit to the church of St Catherine. The original stone church had been destoyed, this one was built in the 15th century at the end of the 100 Years War. No stone was available as it had all been used in fortifications, so was made entirely of wood.
