Gastronomic nirvana awaited us, thanks to the meticulous research and diligent efforts of our friends, Irv and Myrna. They have arranged for several evenings of excessively delectable, eye popping encounters with French cuisine at bistros where French chefs "take their mothers"! Not to be outdone, we took them to a fabulous Falafel stand in the Jewish quarter and shared favorite gelato finds. Not that all we did was eat, although it did seem to be our focus. We also took notes for our next home at the Museo of Decorative Arts from Lanvin's perfectly restored Art Deco apartment and discovered a Hamam that seemed to offer more than a bath (from which we beat an immediate retreat!)

We are looking forward to returning to Paris in October for an extended stay to savor more of what the city has to offer as well as to just settle someplace for a while to reflect on the adventures, waters, love, food, music and magic we have experienced.
