bonjour from paris!

we've had a wonderful few days in paris and it def beats out london as a cultural holiday destination. everywhere you go, there is some sort of musical/ theratrical entertainment. so far, we've witnessed instrumental performances in the train stations, classical music in carparks, and puppet shows on the train - music everywhere!

paris really seems to exude creativity, and this can be seen around street corners anywhere. a special mentions goes to salim, a true artisitc genuis who bends metal wire into practically anything. and this other guy (didnt really catch his name) who sketches portraits on the banks of the seine river.. ush and i had one done.. will post photo up next time

other places of interest, ;usee d'orsay, le louvre (where priya had a brief run in with security guards for trying -several times - to capture the mona lisa on film) , champs elysee, notre dame, and the the arc de triomph. we also had some exposure to the paris nightlife when we happened to stumble across the buddha bar (very swanky indeed, cost us an arm and a leg - each - for a drink). the other arm and a leg has gone to buying souveniers!

ok, times running out.. update later

going to moulin rouge tonight, hope its exciting!

au revoir

sounds to me you are having fun...too much fun...In your next posting let me know how you are going lugging around everything. It does not sound like a concern at the moment.
