Sacre Coeur
Well guys, we're in Paris now. Took our own home made walking tour yesterday in 35 degree heat that lasted 6 hours and 10km. We pretty much walked around the entire downtown area, and saw all the major sights. We almost missed our train coming from Amsterdam, when we had to connect in Brussels. The train was almost 30 minutes late, but our connecting train was also 15 minutes late, making for a mad dash through the station! We were sweating like crazy as we literally fell onto the train. Close call. Our hotel is right near the Sacre Coeur church, which is cool, and also near the red light district. We didn't go there. The view is pretty awesome from the hill, and you can see some pics when we're back. Right now I have to go and blow 40euro in change before I get home. Looks like Renata is getting that beret she's always wanted. Quick funny story: As soon as we get off the train in Paris a girl about 20 comes right at me and Renata and asks if we speak english. Renata says "no". I asked her what was up with that and she said she

looked like a gypsy. Haha, right? The next day we are at the Eiffel Tower and the SAME GIRL comes right up to me and again says "Do you speak english?". This time I go "Nay, hvala". She leaves and we crack up. Too funny. Later I see her telling some family about how she needs money for her poor family or something. Scam. But how random is that? Anyways, Au revoir from Paris and see you in Saskatoon!
