Our included sightseeing tour takes in the many sights and sounds. Gaze at the Eiffel Tower, the Lourve, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and Stroll along the Champs Elysees. Join us for a trip to the Palace of Versailles or in your own time perhaps visit Euro Disney. At night, a chance to see a Parisian cabaret.

Awesome day in Paris today. Was a cookie/dishie at breakfast, had hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, bread, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. Left the campsite at 9 for Chateau De Versailles. This was Louis XIV's home when he decided the Louvre wasn't big enough. It can house 20 000 people and has amazing gardens. We paid 3 euro to walk around the gardens, which you would probably need a month or 2 to explore properly. Went on a bit of a wander through the town looking for bathrooms, then got back on the bus to go into the city. Had 4 hours free time to explore, so Melissa, Brigitte, Nat M and I stolled down L'Champs Elysees, and had chocolate croissants for lunch. We then crossed Ponte Alexander III and walked along the Seine to La Tour Eiffel. Took heaps of photos then

walked via Musee de l'armee back to Pont de la Concorde for pick up.

Our optional dinner at Les Noces Jeanette was fantastic. Sat with Melissa, Julia, Emily, Ange and Nat L-Z which was fun. I had escargot again (6 snails) which were quite tasty. For my main I had burgundy beef, then we had cheese and a pastry for dessert, and I had my first ever espresso, which is probably why I was one of the only ones who didn't fall asleep on the bus on the way back to the campsite. Went past the Ritz after dinner, and through the tunnel where Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed died, which felt a bit morbid. Got to go up the eiffel tower, which had a breathtaking view over the whole of Paris. We took the lift all the way to the top, and it was freezing up there. Left there at about 11.30, and it took us about 45 mins to drive 500 metres along the Seine because the police had closed of a road or something, so we had to go a different way home and it took forever.

Thank you
Hi Belinda: Our daughter is on Day Four of the tour right now. Haven't heard from her so I headed to the internet to look up Chateau deCruix where she would be spending two nights. What a delight to find your diary. I will be reading your dairy till the end of her trip to know what she will be experiencing. Thank you very much. Hope your trip was everything and more than what you anticipated. Concerned Mom.

thank you Emily
This is Belinda's mum, it is great to hear that you and a few other people are enjoying my daughters adventures and entries into her blog. We are enjoying them also. After she finished her 37 day Contiki tour she got a job with Contiki and is working in Austria until the end of October then she hopes to keep travelling. So keep tuned in as I'm sure she will have many other stories. I hope you daughter had a good trip.
