Some kind of Military Center Bonjour from Paris!
Sorry I've been a while updating my blog, I've been working hard trying to apply for grad school to UNL for architecture on top of all of my other school work. But this week is the first of two of our spring breaks! My friends Meghan, Whitney and I planned an excursion to Paris, Prague, and Amsterdam!
We flew to Paris on Thursday night and after the adventure of finding the hostel via the train and metro (which is very disgusting compared to London's tube might I add), we all gasped at the site of the top of the Eiffel Tower lit up behind some buildings as we got out of the underground!
Friday we spent all day walking around near the Eiffel and walked over 43 stories/700 steps + an elevator to get the the top! My legs were chaking afterwards, but what an incredible site! A couple even got engages at the top while we were up there!
Although the weather was fantastic yesterday in Paris, it was aweful today! It snowed and was veyr cold. Despite 'les misarables' we went to Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou (just the outside), the very first Chanel

The Eiffel! store that Coco Chanel opened.. Whitney is very into fashion and happily bought a necklace there, it was fun to see! Then we did a little window shopping before heading back.
As far as food, my very first meal in Paris included moldy cheese, ha ha.. it was a ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich, but the swiss cheese clearly had mold ont the edges. I ate it bravely and couldn't even taste it. Today I tried a Pain du Chocolat which a friend recommended, and it was very tasty! Also french pizza, yumm.
No more stories quite yet, so I'll keep it short and sweet, but more to come from Prague and Amsterdam!
Au revior!
