First things first...Ed is famous 😊 Remember the photos in the first blog. They have been around. Not only have random people received them via mail, no, they have also been published by the Sun, haha. I am not sure if this is good or bad news though.

Anyhow, on to the Paris adventure.

Day 1:

Picked up rental car, shitty Opel Meriva 1.4. If you're ever been offered this car....run!!! It's a piece of crap. It eats petrol like a big one and is so slow, it's unreal.
Payed €25 toll to Paris.
Checked into hotel and Ed gets wallet stolen. Wallet turns up but minus €150 😞
Bad start but it's getting better, right? Yeah!

The hotel is nice, it's a stone throw away from the Moulin Rouge and the room is ok-ish. Sure we're only sleeping there. Had a nice sleep and then off to the pub for some Rugby. Irish pub of course, O'Sullivans, conveniently located beside the Moulin Rouge. A few lads from the Tongan Rugby team were there too and we couldn't help it but to ask them to pose for a photo with us....erm, with me 😊

Day 2:

Tried to get out of bed early to go up the Eiffel Tower, didn't manage. Got there at 11 in the morning and the queues were so long, I had the suspicion they were giving stuff away for free. Went up the Arc de Triomphe instead. A little cheaper and not so high but still nice. And that was the sightseeing for the day and off we go to watch the France - Georgia match.
We had tickets for the Ireland - Argentina match but I will spare you the details, it's sad enough 😞 It was a good day anyway and the atmosphere in the stadium was great.
A few drinks afterwards and then back to the hotel for a good nights sleep. There's going to be cycling done the next day.

Day 3:

Cycle tour with Fat Tyre (not as good as the Berlin one, I'm afraid to say) and then drive back to Frankfurt. I will spare you the details of the cycle tour, just see the photos 😊
Oh, the toll was "only" €20 going back...strange. Food on petrol stations along the motor way is not the best 😞

Now, that was Paris...short and sweet. Enjoy the photos, until next time.

Yvonne
