Time to go home

At least that is what was planned.

The transit system seemed to be running closer to normal this day as we headed out to CDG airport for our 2 pm flight to Detroit. We arrived to the counter at about 12:30pm and were told the flight was delayed 20 hours. They were putting everyone in hotels for the night, but since we are non-revenue, we were on our own. No big deal, another day in Paris! My job is extremely flexible, so I called in a vacation day. My wife was off, so it all worked out.

We did a relaxing day in the city, but stayed in a Holiday Inn near CDG.
