Ellie and I planned a weekend trip to Strasbourg ages ago, but it somehow managed to creep up on it. Time is passing more quickly here in Douai, thankfully, and I ended up throwing things in my bag in the twenty minute window between my bus home from school and our train to Paris. Such good times walking to Eastern Europe. I'm glad that your American passports didn't cause the entire line of renterring citizens to come to an abrupt halt. Didn't they take our pictures, too? I can't remember. All I remember is attempting to understand their German and replying with my own broken Deutsch. bahaha.

Hi everyone, I live there and wanted to add a comment: streets names aren't written in french and german, but french and "alsacien"( or "elsässich") local dialect which isn't a mix of french and german but a language derivated from german
