last days in london
one of our last days in london Well here it is. Many people have been asking whether we are going to do a blog of our travels and I have finally got round to it. Please be patient while I try to work out how to use this site.
Well on sunday 27th april we finally said goodbye to our home of 4 years in Ealing, after an extended farewell from our landlords - Anthony and Alex - apparently we have been their best ever tenants!
The journey to Harwich was full of excitement. We missed our turn off on the north circular and almost drove to the docklands. But we finally made it to Harwcih where we had to kill a few hours. This was not an easy task, Harwich has to be one of the most boring towns in England. The highlight was a stop at morrisons to buy beer. Not even a boots or WHSmith in town. Can you believe it?
However, we survived the tedium and made it onto our lovely danish ship with a fabulous cabin where we slept for over 10 hours. We awoke to a sea view and not much else.
Anyway, Paul managed to get us to Herning, the traffic
the three amigos
the three amigos one last time! is not quite on the scale of london traffic, and we are now relaxing with family friends - The Hansen Family. Chilling out here for a few days until we drive over to Copenhagen where we hit the hostel scene again after many years off. Will we cope??
As some of you may know we are having some dramas with obtaining a chinese visa - so please, all of you, keep your fingers crossed for us!
I will attempt to upload some photos when we have something more exciting than the 2 we have already taken - one of a seagull eating a crab, and one of paul lying down in our little cabin on board.
Wish us luck!
Oh, and don't be afraid to send us a little message 😊
