Lolland Long Distance Cycling

Today reached Langeland after a very long cycling day from the eastern to the western end of Lolland Island involving a race to the last ferry before early sunset in order to allow some dusk light to find the campsite on Langeland.

We actually stopped taking pictures mid afternoon because of the necessity to get to the ferry in time. A worthwhile decision since the campsite on Langeland was a very nice one.

This would be out last long cycling day and last camping night.

Small towns did not have the inexpensive and casual coffee and cake spots that Germany offered.

There is a corner of the Island near Birket which has some contour lines and which accordingly is named after Switzerland.

We make it to the ferry
With time to spare since we had misread the timetable and were 15 minutes early.
Note nightfall is nigh.

As we pack up the next morning.
Once again we had the place to ourselves. This was a better quality campsite than most with an indoor tv and dining rooms which we greatly appreciated. The area is very maritime with fishing the main sporting activity.
