If you look on the hill, you can see a wall running up the side. It's called Hladová Zed', which means the Hunger Wall. King Charles [if you read my blog] was the best king in the Republic's history. The people of Prague needed work so they could have money to buy food, so he told them to build him a wall. The wall is for no other purpose than to have created work, so that then Charles could pay the workers.

WOW
What a wonderful trip, Matthew! Sounds like a great time. Should we be expecting a motorcycle on Linden Street anytime soon???? I know it takes a great deal of time to write and put your pictures up, but I so love hearing about your adventures. Take care and hopefully we will hear from you soon.

What a feat to take us thru the travels of Matthew and friends. Loved it..........Your culinary tastes are improving...... we will have you eating chicken feet and sea slugs yet!!!!!!!!!! To experience the cultures of others is what is so rewarding.........but beating women with those twigs for treats..........I don't think I like that one myself!!!!!!!!!!!! Pictures were great to go along with the blog. Thanks for the effort. Know that it was a lot but we all loved it. Love ya, Nanny
