Our apartment in the old town at Zadar comes complete with a pigeon nesting on two eggs on the window ledge hidden by the slightly-ajar wooden shutters. The shop directly opposite serves the most delicious cake and coffee, perfect for a supper snack before bedtime. We drove to Krka national park yesterday, to see more impressive waterfalls dammed by travertine buildup.
