Beats Quakers Hill!
We'd been looking forward to coming to Dubrovnik for a while now to chill out - had planned to enjoy the sun, take a dip in the ocean, and Luke had his heart set on spending some quality time with the barman at the swim-up-bar at our hotel. Unfortunately, someone forgot to inform mother nature!! Bitch!!

The first few days started pretty crappy, continuous rain and grey skies, but then cleared in the afternoon - so we shouldn't complain too much. We visited the charming town of Dubrovnik (into the old city) every evening for dinner - the food at our hotel is ridiculously overpriced - and even found the waiter who served Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas (according to a pic in a Croatian mag!!)

Today was the first day of nothing but sunshine - so we made the most of it. We joined a small sail boat at the beach near our hotel, and visited 3 islands (tried, but can't remember the names). Each was busier and more beautiful than the last - with the best being the final one - Lopud - with a ˝short walk˝ from one side to the other - try 30 mins

The 'main' street in Dubrovnik - Old Town. Yep, it's literally 150m long!
up and down a mountain!!

The trek to the other side was worth it though - complete with a nudist beach (which Luke was happy about until he noticed the starting age was 65!)

The ocean is the most amazing blue - and cause the nights have been fine, we have been sitting on our balcony enjoying a drink together.

Tomorrow is supposed to be another nice day - so Luke will farewell his 'mate' behind the poolbar and tomorrow evening we will be in London. Ange, I promise not to rub it in - too much!!

We found a great spot to watch the sun set. Too bad huge clouds came in and buggered it!!
