We arrived in Brussels around noon and took photographs in front of the royal palace. Unfortunately we were late for the midday mass at the cathedral but were in time for the final blessing. We walked a bit about the ancient Gothic cathedral and admired the amazing carved wooden pulpit and enormous stained glass windows. There was some modern art in the cathedral and we are a bit uncertain as to the purpose or function of it. We continued our tour with the main square and the guildhalls and of course the Maneken Pis (that is the small boy urinating), some free time followed before we reboarded the bus and left making one last stop at the Atomium.
