Our week long visit to Belgium (the most special country in Europe) was spent with Marie-Therese in her Waterloo crib. Days were spent having breakfast at 8:30am, gourmet lunch at 1:00pm and three to four course dinner at 8:00pm. Time in between meals, touristic trips of course! In bed and knitting by 9:30pm, lights out at 10pm. BEST WEEK EVER!!! Thanks Marie-Therese for a wonderful week.

WARNING: upon request/threats from parental units worried about too much alcohol consumption (i.e. Oktoberfest blog) we have added some scenery and church-themed pictures.

Concidence that the Congo produces 80% of all cocoa beans and Belgium produces the world's finest chocolate? I think not. (some Congo artifacts found in Marie-Therese's house)

Marie-Therese's house is like her kitchen- anything goes, and it somehow works in a unique sort of way.

Finally! Some cultural enrichment! I'm glad you got this experience. It's so much more fun to stay in someone's home and let them show you the sites, isn't it? Did you get to Gent? (Did you see a gent in Gent?) Did you eat any "sprouts" in Brussels? Sorry. I really liked this blog entry. Looks like you two are having a blast!
