Arrived in Vienna Journal #2

We've safely arrived in Vienna after 2 long flights. The overseas flight went fine; then at Heathrow there was a problem with the refuelling. After sitting on the tarmac for an hour, BA decided to fly to Brussels to refuel, so in the end we arrived 3 hours late and quite hungry! Our friend, Joseph, was there to greet us and took us to the hotel his father had booked for us. It's in the centre, so we will be able to walk everywhere. I first met Fritz (Joseph's father) in 1966 in Switzerland, so it is great to reconnect with the family!)

Before turning in, we had a typical Austrian meal--cabbage and potato salad and schnitzel and of course beer. Robin had a strudel for dessert. It's 4.30 in the morning as I write this, so I guess it will take me a couple of days to get rebalanced.
