Just a Quickie...

Just a quick note because I don't know when we will be connected again...


We arrived in Austria today. The train ride was lovely (even though we went second class... we are getting spoiled with our first class tickets!). Vienna is a nice city, even though it is cold and windy and a bit rainy. No pictures right now (though I have a few) but a few thoughts and one request...

• it's really cool that there are so many dogs in Europe, and that thez can pretty much go anywhere. It is really not cool that there is a lot of poop on the sidewalks.
  
• Packing and re-packing is becoming a real pain. And it's weird - I do it differently everytime, the result of which is that I really don't know where anything is.
  
• You know you are in the 21st century when doing your laundry is put on hold so you can go to the internet cafe.
  
• You wouldn't believe how much Eastern Czech Rep./Northern Austria looks like Southern Missouri. If it weren't for the houses you might not be able to tell the difference.
  

Tonight we ate Chinese food, which is only remarkable because we are in Austrai. One would think that when one was traveling they might sample the local fare. But, this was cheaper and actually really good. Our bellys are happy.

Tomorrow night we are going to see a classical music concert. It is, afterall, the city of music. We will be in the same theatre as the New Year's concert that is shown from Vienna each year... in case you have watched that. "What might two travelers with no clean clothes wear to an operatic concert," you may be asking yourselves. Well, we do have something still clean... I think.

So, sorry about no pictures or map. You will just have to wait. But so you know we are going to Innsbruck on Saturday, Frankfurt on Sunday, and EGYPT on Monday (here we come, Amr!). We will be there for a week, and I don't know what our possibilities are for internet, so maybe we will "talk" to you soon... if not, we'll see you in Greece!
