After spending so much time carefully planning our route through Austrian Alps, we're disappointed by the heavy rains during our lunch hour break. We decide to retire to a hotel early and try again tomorrow.

Managing risk is an important part of any trip and especially on a motorcycle. The heavy rain turned into a lighting storm followed by gale force winds and snow.
