The island of St. Thomas is a popular stop for many cruise ships. It's easy to see why.
My boyfriend and I decided to go to the Caribbean for our 2007 trip. We picked St. Thomas, USVI and we couldn't been more happier. The island of St. Thomas is just AMAZING! We stayed at the Marriott French Reef which was conveniently located in Charlotte Amalie. Everymorning we would take the water taxi from the hotel dock to the main town ($6 each way) where you would find a number of restaurants and shops. We liked Cuzzin's Restaurant (deep fried conch) and Glady's Cafe (Jerk Porkchops) the most for some real authentic Caribbean flavors. They are the locals' favorite. Shopping in St. Thomas are mainly for high-end watches and cameras, expensive liquors, jewelries and loose diamonds. We went to a few stores to compare prices and we found the best prices at Little Switzerland, the one right across the Emancipation Park. When you go make sure to ask for Colbert and he'll treat you like a king! We were in the island for seven days, some of the highlights of our trip include: kayaking at Mangroove Lagoon, hiking to Red Point Blow Hole, snorkeling at Coki Beach, relaxing at Magen's Bay, a day-trip to St. John and Trunk Bay and
