hello all, we have made it to Bocas in panama. After leaving Puerto Viejo we had to traverse an old converted railroad bridge into panama. It was rickidy and wooden boards were placed to allow cars and trucks to pass and was about 50 ft. above the river below. Needless to say, lindsay was shaking. We then caught a taxi to Changuinola (where chiquita bananas come from) and then caught a water taxi to the isla de colon. It is amazing here, very pretty and the water is crystal clear. Today we went on a snorkeling tour and boated through the most beautiful paradise of water and islands we have ever seen. We stopped at an island to go snorkeling and we agreed that it was the most amazing place ever. We met a couple from spain and holland and snorkeled with them all day. The coral reef and fish in the water were really cool! We saw millions of different species of fish and they were all so colorful. Tomorrow we are going to go explore another island. The pictures posted are of Chauita and Puerto Viejo, we will update later with pictures of this area.

1 month, already!
Just think, Lindsay, if you'd only stayed for a month, you'd be heading home now! Time is flying. Did you reach the coconuts in that tree, Lucas? Have you learned how to open them? That crab is spooky. Don't let him pinch you with that giant claw. Do they all have only one claw? What an adventure.

Hello
Cute pictures of you two. Is that a Blue Crab? Neat! Those kittens do look like Charlie. Carl got new clean sand yesterday and a new platic plant. His real plant died. :( Finals are this week and I'm nervous about them. Must study a whole lot. Lindsay I wrote you an email, now you write me back soon, k? Lucas take care of lindsay. Bye bye

Paddling through the internet
I looked up the Bocas del Toro region and it is really beautiful. I can see why you're impressed. Lots of native villages along with towns with nice waterfront tourist hotels (for your next trip). Some fun looking in the water restaurants/bars. Thanks for staying in touch. Look forward to the pictures. E
