Marco picked out a place to stay that was just outside of La Ceiba on a bumpy dirt road along the Rio Cangrejal. It was a good base for a kayaking trip that Marco was keen to try. It was also a fun place to stay. The food was good and the drunken expats at the bar were both entertaining and informative. I got to camp on one of their wooden platforms for only $5 since I had my own tent. Marco and Hazel inquired about booking a tour into the Moskita but there was none to be had for less than a boatload of money. Their plan B was to press on to Trujillo and inquire there. Hazel and I would leave in the morning and Marco would bus it the following day after kayaking.
