My water heater decided to die, so it was either replace the water heater and be able to take warm showers or go to Anthony's Key Resort. The score was water heater = 1; Anthony's Key Resort = 0. This little guy is about 3 inches. You've got to look above the upper left branch of the coral to see it.

One of these did manage a sneak into my cabin. It didn't bother me a bit since they go after the flies and mosquitoes

Great Blog!
Wow, what a well written blog - excellent photos. Sounds like you really enjoyed Roatan and all it has to offer. You were brave to do the zip line. Quite adventurous! Looks like the snorkeling spots were great. Haven't been to Maya Key, but I understand they did a good job in reinventing it for the cruiseship crowd. If you come back to Roatan, try the less congested East part of the island. Its beautiful! Marcia www.castaways-cove.com

Very well said!
I love the way you described your visit to Roatan and AKR. I've lived on Roatan (originally from Ontario, Canada) since 2007. I'm not very far from AKR and admit other than the medical clinic I don't give it much thought. Your description of everything reminds me to not take it all for granted. I enjoyed the view through your eyes. Thank You Genevieve Ross
