San Pedro, Lake Atitlan
So we´ve been in Lake Atitlan(meaning'at the water´) for almost a week now and we still dont feel the need to move on! First of all this place is beautiful! It is the deepest lake in Central America and has a 3 volcanoes and Mayan villages surrounding it. It is also known as the Mayan scared place. We found a town called San Pedro or what we call our little retreat. Its full of artists, people studying spanish, yoga and meditation from all over the world! San Pedro is split into 2 really, up at the top is the very much local town whilst the bottom is a few roads or alley ways that run parallel to the water with health food cafes and nice restaurants. Theres plenty to do here, lovely shops, kayaking(which we have not tried yet), hiking, yoga, theres even a gym! The weather is hot and glorious sunshine in the morning, and it cools down at night which makes it nice and cool to go to sleep. So, what have we been doing?! welll... apart from enjoying the relaxing vibe we are making the most of our roof top terrace trying to regain our tan playing cards

and reading my favorite book, The Tao of Pooh! This past sunday we travelled to Chichicastenango, we just call it Chitty chitty bang bang😉, to experience the largest market in Guatemala! Every street in this town was lined with stalls selling fruit to woven blankets to wooden instruments. If you think that was enough you also had the children starting from about 3yrs old trying to sell you there goods by attaching themselves to your leg! We did leave a bit poorer than we were when we started but bartering down the price and seeing all the wonderful colored products was tons of fun!!! The other night we also invited 2 brothers aged 6 and 9 to join us for tea so they could take a break from selling their popcorn and wristbands to the tourists. Today, we have spoilt ourselves ... we had a massage 😊 a good one too! We are now enjoying watching the Olympics with a nice iced coffee and a home baked muffin! Hey! Great Britain are 3rd overall can you believe?!! Were so proud (or gay) we have decided to hang our british flag from our balcony!

So i think thats it, Not
