We left Panajachel in some pretty overcast conditions. Higher and higher we went as we started to make our way to CHICHICASTENANGO (yeah that is a mouthful). As soon as I read your first paragraph, my stomach clenched when I remembered those chicken bus drivers being total maniacs on those roads... it was a crazy drive! We were there in 2016 and cannot wait to visit it again :)
