yesterday i left from san jose to montezuma via the bus boat bus ride. it wasnt bad and i met lots of nice and helpful people. before i left i went for a very long run in the city which was a good way to see it, but i got lost and it took more than an hour. i met 2 guys from isreal on the trip and shared a very small room with them. then this morning i met a couple from vancouver and we hiked to some amazing waterfalls and then got lunch. after that i moved my stuff to the camping spot which is 3$ a nite. i am very worried about my gear, but i keep my essentials with me, passport, money, camera, ipod. but i have heard this is a very safe and expensive area to visit. tomorrow i am taking a bus to cabo blanco national reserve. i really wish i spoke better spanish so i could talk more with the locals because they are very kind. so i will leave montezuma in a few days and go to volcan arenal, an active volcano. there i will spend my remaining colones, costa rican money, before i go to nicarauga. i will add more pix when i get better internet that is included with a room. hope all is well back home. i am having fun here so far.
