Hey, just a little update for those that are interested! We survived the first 3nights in mexico city with nothing more than a little liver damage from the free tequila shots given out regulary in the hostel. Checked out some Aztec ruins and went to the wrestling which was funny as...go mystico!

A couple of flights later we arrived in San Jose, Costa Rica. We stayed only 2 nights, got our bearings and heading for the Pacific coast, a place called playas del Coco. This is where we have been for the past month now, living very comfortably in an american style condo with all mod cons, even got to watch liverpool live on cable yesterday which is always a bonus!

First off we both completed our rescue diver training which is pretty straight forward after all the lifeguarding. Now we are over half way through our divemaster training which is great fun, learning a lot and diving most days. Although its not the warmest in the water and the vis changes from day to day we have had some great diving. Lots to see including frogfish, seahorses, white tip sharks, turtles, rays, huge schools of fish, dolphins and even got to swim with a bull shark last week! Have yet to see Mantas or whale sharks yet but we know they are around!

The diving has taken priority so not been doing too much else, although we have enjoyed a few nights out at weekend on the local spirit cacique...which is about 3quid a litre. Lovely stuff...! Its quite a party place a weekends with lots of americans and local ticos about.

Plan is now to hang around for another 2-3 weeks then head down the coast for some surf over christmas. Then fly out to peru before new year and spend nye in Lima before trecking machu Picu and on through south america.

Spanish is coming along slowly. I have given up growing my hair and shave it again today!
