Swimming PigsSwimming PigsSwimming Pigs

Gotta love the swimming pigs off Big Majors- so cute. We remember these two from last year, when they were just piglets. Boy do they grow up fast!
We loved our time in Cat Island but it was time to move on. The glorious weather we have enjoyed due to the high pressure ridge positioned just north of us was about to come to an end, with a big cold front predicted and thus gale force winds and big seas all the following week. So we set sail, taking advantage of the SE trade winds for once, and crossed the Exuma Sound to the Staniel Cay area. We have spent the last 3 weeks in this area, re-visiting our favorite sights and entertaining our family who came out for a visit- what fun! We snorkeled thunder ball cave and feed the many fish there, we anchored out in the city of boats off Big Majors where we get to enjoy the antics of swimming pigs, we navigated our way to Compass Cay where you feed the pet sharks hot dogs, and had a quick stop at Waderick Wells, the head quarter for the Exuma Land and Sea Park. So many fun and interesting things to do, all within 50 miles of Staniel Cay- holy cow! Unfortunately I am not going to go into much more detail about our time

An artistic photo Jay took at the beach on Compass Cay- very cool!
here, but if you would like to read more about these places please feel free to re-visit the blogs from last year.

Unfortunately our guests brought the winter flu with them and our immune systems had no chance. So this is me, sick as a dog, loving that we found more nyquill in the islands.
