SAN DIEGO (AP)—Chargers running back Ryan Mathews(notes) missed his second straight practice Thursday with a high ankle sprain.The rookie’s prospects of playing decrease with every missed practice, making it less likely he’ll be available for Sunday’s game at Seattle. The fact that Mathews is sitting out two days is not a good sign he will play Sunday. Mathews was optimistic Wednesday that he could play against the Seahawks. Yet, the Chargers are likely going to be very cautious with Mathews.
