I realised that I haven't spoken much about my observations of the people from Cuba, so i'll try to correct that now: Visually, as most of you might have seen in documentaries and expect from their history, they are a colourful race, varying from African black dark skin to fair-er- Spanish looks. Skin colour I was told doesn't create any discrimination here. Their clothes fashion is shown by bright coloured lycras and fishnet tee-shirt (great for 80's fashionidas). Food in touristic Varadero has been standardised to chicken or grilled fish choices with darker rice mixed with some beans, canned vegetables if lucky, french fries and sometimes fried 'bananas'/roots. Oups, nearly forgot to mention the lobster for 10 CUC! (13A$). I remeber having a fried rolled fish in Maria La Gorda and pan thick pizzas in Havana.
